If anyone has stuck around long enough to notice, things have been preeeetty quiet around here. Not gonna lie, this past year has been one hell of a whirlwind and the struggle has been real!
This mani is a way to sort of commemorate my return, while also paying tribute to the person who has impacted my life the most, my biggest motivation, my son. 💙 I used a Mystery Box prototype from Fancy Gloss as the base, a pretty light/baby blue loaded with holo and teeny tiny golden flakes. 2 coats, with topcoat. The nail art that I paired it with was created using Mundo de Uñas #30 Neon Blue, and the stamping plates BCN-010 (for the puzzle design) and FUN19 (accent nail.)
Aside from taking on a new job that ate up majority of my time, trying to finish up my Associate's degree, and mourning the loss of two very special people in my life, a year ago my 3 yr old son was diagnosed with Autism. All of my time and focus has since revolved around him, his diagnosis, and getting him the services he needed to thrive. Despite some bumps in the road we experienced through the Chicago Public School system, over the past year I feel like we are finally on the right track towards helping him succeed and get the most out of life. I am forever thankful for the guidance and aid his teachers and therapists have provided us thus far. There is still lots for us to learn and a long journey ahead, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. 💗
I've spent so much time focusing on everything else BUT me, that I didn't really realize how long it had been since I had some mani-therapy. Man, did I miss it. So, that is how we end up with my take on an Autism Awareness/Acceptance mani. I found the mother/child image on the plate FUN19 from Fab Ur Nails to be perfect for the accent nail.
I have some posts that are long overdue that I will be posting starting this week. Plenty of old stuff that I spaced out on posting, and plenty of new stuff, as well. I can't wait to show you guys what I have in store!
xoxo
Krystle
