Swatches and reviews: DazzleGlaze Lacquer

Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone has been having a lovely weekend so far! Before we all start getting ready for football Sunday, I have some lovely swatches to show you from Candace over at DazzleGlaze Lacquer. (Her Etsy shop is known as Radiantly Vivacious, where she not only sells nail polish but also has quite the selection of adorably decorated cell phone cases, picture frames, and some decorative wall pieces. Go check her out!) Candace was kind enough to send me four of her lovely nail polishes for swatches and reviews and I am so glad she did, they are so gorgeous! (I find myself saying that about a lot of nail polish. lol I can't help it if it's the truth!)

First up is Elysian Afterlife, part of her Greek Underworld collection. This polish has a white shimmer base and is loaded with holographic glitter in 2 different sizes. This can be worn on it's own or paired over a different color base for a cool effect. Here I wore it in 2 thin coats with topcoat. Application was super easy and I found that all of her polishes dried fairly fast. This color just screams "wedding" to me as I feel it would be perfect for a bride-to-be.

Here I added some stamping over Elysian Afterlife using my Pueen Stamping Buffet plates and stamping polish from Mundo De Unas. I tried going for the gradient stamping technique but the two colors I chose were too similar so you can hardly notice. Lesson learned!

Up next is They Call Me Mimi, a red jelly based polish full of red and silver metallic glitters, and also host to a ton of silver holo glitters. So much jelly deliciousness! This baby can also be paired over a red base but I chose to leave it all on its own. Shown here are 2 thin coats (YES, only two coats!) with topcoat. No problem with glitter distribution or dragging since it dries pretty quickly. This polish totally reminds me of Dorothy's ruby red slippers in The Wizard of Oz.

Here we have Lulu the Cabaret Girl, a delicate light purple/almost pink shade with a blue-ish shimmer and holo dust to give it a scattered holo look to it. For this shade, I used 3 thin coats for full opacity. I especially love the blue-ish shimmer it has to it in certain angles, you can see it, along with the scattered holo, clearly in my macro shot.

I saved Hell Hound, part of the Greek Underworld, for last since I took (what seems like) a million shots. This pretty is a duochrome polish that shifts from a red to a rust orange/gold in different angles. Super smooth to apply, reached full opacity in 2 thin coats, as shown here with topcoat.

Here I am, trying to pull off the cool "water droplets" look as seen on Instagram by some of my favorite swatchers. Not sure if I was as successful but hey, I tried. :)

I hope you all enjoyed my swatches of these pretty polishes from DazzleGlaze! Be sure to check out the links below for purchases and shop updates!
