Special Indie Feature: Jindie Nails part 2 of 3

Hi, again!

Sorry for the lack of structure with my schedule of postings but not only have things been a little hectic around the house lately, I am also still getting the hang of this whole "blogger" role I've taken on. Much respect to the other bloggers out there who have been doing this for a lot longer than I have! I am still trying to figure out simple things like adding my Instagram link to the blog template and would love to eventually have a neat little logo and background customized for me. One day, dammit, one day! If anyone has any tips, please send them my way. Any advice or constructive criticism helps!

Ok, so onto part 2 of my Special Indie Feature featuring Jindie Nails! Just a little warning, this (like my first Jindie feature post) is going to be a bit photo-heavy as I have about 6 Jindie polishes to feature.

First up we have Be Someone Cute. This is a new addition to my Jindie collection that Jen was so kind enough to include when she sent me her half of the Halloween duo she made with Dollish Polish. (You can check out that post by clicking HERE.) Such a fun polish. It has a pink tinted base and is packed with black, white, and pink micro glitters. Close up it might look like it has blue micro glitters in it but it's just the effect that the iridescent flakies add to it. This can be worn on its own or layered over a base color, whichever way you choose, you can't go wrong! Super easy to apply, I only used 3 thin coats on its own for extra glittery goodness plus a great topcoat for a smooth finish. Without the topcoat, the polish has a sort of textured finish because of the amount of glitter in it.

Next is Hex on the Beach. I love the name of this Jindie! Super fun and clever play on the name of the famous drink. This white crelly is packed with pink, red, yellow, a coppery color, and orange glitters in different shapes and sizes like circles, hexagons, diamond (or rhombus) glitters, and even teeny yellow micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats plus a heavy duty topcoat because this polish really is packed with these lovely glitters.

Next is That Purple-Ish. Not only do I love the name but I am in love with anything and everything PURPLE! My fave color, hands down, so naturally this polish stole my heart at first sight. I think I mentioned that before, right? haha It is a crelly lavender base with a subtle flaky shimmer to it. It is a host to a wide variety of glitters in all different shades of purple, fuchsia, and lilac and full of shapes like hexies, circles, squares, and diamonds. 3 thin coats with topcoat for a smooth and even finish.

Up next is Pink Punkin, an orange sherbet shade that is black light responsive! How cool is that! I, unfortunately, do not have a black light handy so you won't be able to see it in my photos but if you go to Jindie's site HERE, she has some swatch photos that show it off perfectly. It has neon pink stars, hexies, and white squares in it with a subtle pink shimmer. I'll admit, this was a late night swatch and didn't have the energy to fish for the stars but believe me, they are there. Despite the cute name, this polish can be worn all year long, especially in the summer! Shown here are 3 thin coats with topcoat, on its own but can be layered over a base similar in color to conserve polish.

Anniversary Seaquins is one of two shades that Jen released in celebration of Jindie Nails' one year anniversary last year. (The 2nd shade, Purple Universary, will be posted in part 3 of my Special Indie Feature featuring Jindie Nails so stay tuned!) A medium blue/cerulean crelly with a shimmer to it, it is packed with a ton of different glitters. Going to cheat a bit and just quote Jen's site,"light pink opaque dots, pastel yellow opaque dots, pastel peach opaque dots, moss green metallic squares, magenta large and small squares, mauve squares, light green metallic dots, kelly green matte medium dots, matte white dots & opaque matte medium purple dots." It's meant to be worn on its own, shown here are 3 thin coats with topcoat. You can really see the lovely shimmer this polish has in my macro shot. So pretty!

Last, but not least, is You Can't Turn a Ho-lo Into a Housewife! I gave a little preview of this one on my IG account but here I have added a few additional photos for your viewing pleasure. This beauty is a multi-chrome and linear holographic polish that is just beyond words. It shifts to different colors depending on the angle. My photos don't do the multi-chrome shift justice BUT Jen has some other ah-mazing swatches on her site that show it off wonderfully. You can check them out HERE. (Something to make note of when I swatch any other multi-chrome polishes in the future. Get more angle shots! See, I'm still learning!) So easy to apply, I used only 2 thin coats and no topcoat was needed. If you do use a topcoat, make sure it's one that won't take away from the awesome linear holo effect. I haven't run enough tests on the different topcoats out there that are perfect for holo polishes but is something I will make note of to research for the future.

That concludes part 2 of my 3 part Special Indie Feature featuring Jindie Nails! If you've stuck around this far then I applaud you and sincerely thank you for taking the to give this a read. You guys are the bees-knees.

Hugs,
Krystle
