Today I have some pretties to show you from an indie newcomer, Kawaii Moon Polish! Natsumi was sweet enough to give me a chance at joining the Kawaii Moon Polish family and I will be swatching some polishes from the "Kikyo's Maid Cafe" collection, as well as an extra polish from the upcoming "Moderne Militaire" collection.
Up first is Shibuya Scramble, a fun and festive glitter topper inspired by Shibuya Crossing in Japan. I have not had the luxury of visiting Japan but Natsumi was so descriptive in her story behind the polish that I will just have to quote her directly from her store site. "Walking down Shibuya Crossing can be quite a site to see! The sounds, the lights, the thousands of people needing to get to where they need to be! Shibuya Crossing inspired this crazy, colorful glitterbomb. Shibuya Crossing has a fiesta of hexes, stars, squares, and bars to emulate the various neon signs seen throughout Shibuya Crossing." Doesn't it sound like a fun scene?
I paired this polish over a black and white gradient on my index, middle, and pinky fingers, I just couldn't decide on either black or white so I did both! It looks great on either one. On the accent finger, I just layered the glitter topper on it's own for extra glittery deliciousness. I used the sponging technique with the topper with a make-up sponge so that the polish wasn't super thick but allowed for maximum glitter coverage.Available in Full (15ml) and mini (5ml) sizes. It's important to note that this is a special one of a kind polish that once the current batch is sold out, there will not be any others made like it so if you're in love with it now then now is the time to get it! :)
Some macros, since, you know macro all the things.... :)
Next up is Ramune Slushie, a color inspired by a well-known fizzy drink in Japan. This pale blue has a subtle shimmer to it and some holo dust and is such a delicate color. Very pretty. Unfortunately, it isn't very opaque and you would need multiple coats before it's opaque enough for no visible nail line BUT would make a perfect polish to use as a base for some of Natsumi's glitter toppers or perfect as a polish for jelly sammies with a glitter topper.) I will most definitely have to demonstrate this in another post. Ramune Slushie is currently available in full (15ml), mid (13.2 ml), and mini (5ml) sizes.
Moons over my Hime is a lovely glitter topper full of periwinkle, mint, and cotton candy pink half moons with tiny matte glitters and some iridescent glitters. Here I layered it over Ramune Slushie to show how perfectly her glitter toppers can be paired with some of her other polishes.
And last, but certainly not least, is M-1941, a gorgeous creamy yellow-gold with a gold holographic sparkle to it., it looks like it also might have some tiny gold flakes in it The Moderne Militaire collection will be available in the next couple of weeks, and from the looks of some of the other swatches out there, they are all so very gorgeous. 3 thin coats with topcoat. In the last photo, I paired this with some stamping using my Pueen plates and Mundo de Unas black stamping polish.
That concludes my swatches of Natsumi's Kawaii Moon Polish! I hope you enjoyed my extremely long post. lol I promise not to talk your ears off next time but the inspiration behind these polishes had me researching so much about Japan and now visiting is definitely on my bucket list. One day!
